Bubble-Beauty…

Hi there 😉

How gorgeous did Rihanna look at the Grammy‘s?! To match her stunning red dress, her lips and nails were also kept a beautiful vibrant red and complimented her otherwise rather natural (silky waves and neutral eyeshadows ;)) look very well!

Inspired by her ravishing red “ensemble”, here are some of my top red lipsticks and nail polishes…a pair of classic red lips and nails just never fail to impress!

Motivation-Bubble: Quote…

Hi 😉

I hope you had a relaxing weekend! To get you through the coming week, let yourself be inspired by this quote!

Fashion-Bubble: Love…

Hi everyone

I have a new favourite model! She is so refreshingly cool and doesn’t seem to take herself and life too seriously. Ranked at number 25 on models.com, this British model has taken the fashion world by storm! Not only has she already walked the Victoria’s Secret Runway Show, but she has also done Burberry Campaigns, walked loads of fashion shows and been on the cover of countless magazines such as Vogue and Love. Her trademarks are her amazing full brows and her wit. If you haven’t guessed who I’m raving about yet, it’s time to let you know…it’s CARA DELEVINGNE of course 😉

While she seems like the funniest and down-to-earth kind of girl, she is also stunningly beautiful and has a quirky rock-meets- street style of her own…Just take a look…

Fashion-Bubble: Trend…

Hey world 😉

I have had my eye on a special trend for a while now and I have finally decided that I really like it! Wedge sneakers. Kind of funky, but super-cool and casual-looking at the same time. And you can bet they’re very comfortable as well! Perfect when you want to dress laid-back, but still want to look fashionable. Surely a trend to try! Just check out these celebrities sporting some wedge sneakers…

You can find them in any colour and varying heights, which make them day and night-time appropriate. I especially like black versions with white details! High end brands known for selling these type of shoes include Ash Footwear http://www.ashfootwearusa.com and Isabel Marant

My Favourite Winter Nail Polishes…

I love nail polishes. For any season. While in the sunny summer months I love to go for bright and colourful nails, I prefer darker and more “mysterious” colours in the wintertime…Here are 8 of my favourite ones during the cold seasons:

Honk if you love OPI

This first one is a beautiful dark purple with a lot of red in it. There isn’t any shimmer or sparkle though, which makes it perfect for  everyday wear!

Lincoln Park at Midnight

Lincoln Park at Midnight

Although quite similar in colour to the one above, it has more of a sheen and iridescence to it, which makes it a very interesting colour!

Russian Navy

Gorgeous navy colour with blue and redish shimmer in it!

Miami Beet

My all time favourite colour! It is a nice rich magenta ; good for any occasion really. Very pretty on toenails too!

French Quarter for Your Thoughts

If you want a neutral colour that still “feels” wintery, you have to try this one! It’s a medium tone grey, that goes well with anything you are wearing!

You Don't Know Jacques

This is the perfect taupe colour for you if you don’t like anything too dark but want to give your nails a “winter makeover”!

Purple With a Purpose

Excellent for a night out! You simply can’t go wrong with a shimmery purple enhanced with a pink sheen!

I'm Not Really a Waitress

Elegant shimmery red that just is a must for any formal event during the wintertime!

Here are some pictures so you can see what the nail polishes look like on the nails (chronology as posted above):

I hope I have inspired you to keep your nails looking glam even when your almost freezing your fingers of…hehe <3

Dry Winter Skin

Oh wintertime oh wintertime, with dry pale skin unchanging! When it starts to get cold outside, the humidity of the air decreases and your skin ends up feeling dry. In addition, the heatings inside the houses are turned up quite high and cause your skin to dry out even more! So what can you do to fight the dull itch? Well, if you follow some easy steps that I am about to reveal, your skin should be back to normal in no time!

1.Moisturize

During this time of the year, it is crucial to use a good and nourishing moisturizer. (even you with oily skin ;)) Step it up a notch and get your hands on the extra rich formulas instead of lightweight moisturizers and don’t shy away from oil based products. Another trick is to simply apply the heavier night versions of your favourite creams even during the day. However, if you have very oily skin that is prone to acne, you might still want to be careful and stick to your trusted products, as you don’t want overly greasy products to break you out. Some of my personal favourites include the Elizabeth Arden 8 hour range, Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion or Biotherm’s Aquasource Biosensitive Rich. Without being too greasy, they enable the skin to relief the thirst and feel smooth and soft again.

2.Exfoliation and Masks

Maybe exfoliating your skin doesn’t sound like a good idea at this moment? Well, as long as you are using a very gentle product and only exfoliate about once a week, it is actually a beneficial step to take towards the recovery of your skin. It will flake away all of the dead debris and help the moisturiser to penetrate deeper. The best thing you can do after having exfoliated, is applying a hydrating mask and your skin will feel silky like a baby’s bum 😉 However, I would recommend choosing a face wash with fine beads as your weekly exfoliator so that your skin doesn’t get irritated. It is important not to use any harsh products during the winter, as they only tend to aggravate the dryness of your already sensitive skin.

3.Sunscreen

Even though it is cold outside and you don’t feel the sun’s burning rays, they are still there. The radiation may be a little less intense than in the summer, but intensified by the snow’s reflection, it can still be harmful to your skin. Due to heightened drought during winter, your skin is all the more sensitive and you have to protect it well to prevent any further damage. A clever and handy trick to save time and money, is to combine the first and the third step by using a moisturizer that already has a SPF in it. That way, you don’t have to worry about buying separate creams and you’ll never forget applying sun screen.

Other steps you can take to help restore moisture in your skin, would be not to shower with too hot water. I know it is tempting to turn up the heat of the water during these cold winter months, but it is super debilitating on your skin. Also, opt for a shower oil instead of a shower gel and always slather on loads of your favourite body butter (The Body Shop has some amazing ones!) after a shower or a bath!
