Bubble-Bites

Breakfast

Breakfast

I tried a little something different…I can’t find that many different flavours of soy yoghurt so I decided to make one myself. I just used regular plain soy yoghurt and added some raw cocoa powder and agave syrup, then some chia seed and fresh raspberries. Yumm!

Lunch

Lunch

For lunch I decided to make a little “greek-inspired” salad with half a feta cheese block and half a red bell pepper with a balsamic vinaigrette.

Snack

Later in the afternoon I felt a little hungry so I had some carrots and dipped them in chili hummus. Love this snack!

Dinner

Dinner

I had some brown rice left over from the night before, so I whipped up some egg and vegetable fried rice seasoned with soy sauce and some spices.

Powerful Pain.

Hi genies
SeaRocksComp_Fotor
They say what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, right? So every time you overcome something painful, you gain strength to move on and become a better version of yourself. So even though it can be so hard, embrace the pain and know that you will come out at the other end stronger than ever before.

Breakfast

Breakfast

This is hands down one of my favourite breakfasts ever! Plain soy yoghurt, topped with a handful of almonds and chia seeds and a little drizzle of agave syrup. Quick and easy for mornings when you don’t have a lot of time or don’t feel like preparing anything.

Lunch

Lunch

At lunch time I opted for a nice big bowl of salad consisting of red bell peppers, carrots, onions and baby spinach leaves “dressed by a balsamic vinaigrette”. πŸ˜‰

I still had an avocado left from the night before so I decided to have it along with some black quinoa and chili hummus, which turned out to be better than I thought.

#PA Update: Month 11

Hi genies
Holy moly! I’m kind of excited…and kind of really sad. My last month in this project has started and I don’t feel quite ready yet…but I guess you never really do in life, right? πŸ˜‰
Ok, so last month has been really good. Both nutrition- and fitness-wise. My father and I embarked on a “little” fitness challenge and we followed through! Yay! It consisted of HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), Body Weight excercises and most of all, running.
So remember I told you that I have a new project planned for the new year…well, that’s where I’ll have some explaining to do. The 30 Day Challenge that we did this month was called the Runners Prime and can be found HERE on the Neila Rey website.

And the reason I choose this program was because I really needed to get back into running seen as I (if everything goes as planned) am going to run my second half marathon next year in the fall. BOOM. There you have it.

That’s the new exciting and let’s just be honest, slightly terrifying, project for the months to follow after I have finished this one… Wow how time flies πŸ™‚

How To: Furnish A Living Room

Hi genies
Today I have a little something different for you. I recently moved out on my own and got to decorate my very own apartment. While this is an exciting task, I also found it quite difficult to get it all to look the way I had pictured it in my head. That’s where creating mood boards really gets in handy. Choosing pictures of items that you already own or are similar to yours and making a collage with your desired objects helps you to get a “feel” for the look you’re going for and visualize your ideas. To illustrate what I mean, I came up with some collages myself. So let’s say you already have a big white couch that you want to keep and you want to make the room look modern yet cozy with a touch of urban chic-ness…

If you aren’t quite happy with how the objects go together, you can always substitute a couple of accessories and your over-all look changes instantly…

After you have chosen your basics and know what kind of “vibe” you want to create, you can always slip in some more decor items to spruce it up or adjust it to your fluctuating mood/taste/etc.

(Most of the items used in the collages are by Modani which is a modern furniture store with store locations in major metropolitan areas across the US and Canada.)

And as soon as you like the general look of your room you get to put in all of the personal touches, such as picture frames, photos of loved ones, and whatnot.

So there you go, I hope this will help you if you want to redecorate your living room! πŸ˜‰

Online Treasure Hunting

Hi genies
One of my favourite things to do when I’m bored is to go online and have a little look around some online shops and get inspired! So here are a few things that I found during my “snoop” that I wouldn’t mind owning πŸ˜‰

What The Fuzz?!

Hi genies
‘Tis the season to bundle up and get cozy! With Halloween come and gone, we are quickly approaching Christmaaaaaas! Yaaay πŸ˜‰ This can only mean one thing. Layers, sweaters, scarves, hats, – basically as long as it is knitted, you’re good to go. Something that has caught my attention this year, however, are not only the traditional knitted wooly jumpers and cardigans but there is a lot of fluff taking over the stores! Yes, you read that right, fluff! Incredibly warm and comfy, these fluffy/fuzzy/eyelash jumpers are a must-have item this winter and a new addition to your cold weather staples – you will no longer have to choose between being warm or looking fashionable – you can finally have both πŸ˜‰

Aaand just because the weather’s grey and dull doesn’t mean you have to be…check out these fuzzy options πŸ™‚
